Rethinking Web Writing

May 8, 2017 by

web content I’m a freelance web content writer and I’ve worked with business owners and marketing managers one-on-one for over 10 years. It’s been rewarding not only writing clients’ web content, but also teaching them how to sell online.

But until recently, you didn’t have to be a client to get my valuable insights. Every week on my blog I revealed a tip or secret on web content writing.

I stopped publishing last August, 2016 with my 152nd post. That last post celebrated Internaut Day. (Never heard of it? I hadn’t either!) It’s the day the World Wide Web went public and last year was its 25th anniversary. Maybe it was apropos, taking a break while celebrating the birth of the web as a world changing media.

Thing is, clients started asking me for more services. These included planning an overall strategy for their content marketing and planning, writing, and posting their social media marketing. Performing website content audits. And writing pay-per-click advertising on Adwords, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

Lots of exciting new stuff. All part of the universal package called “content marketing.” Creating and publishing valuable and relevant content to attract and retain a target audience. Ultimate goal…getting people to buy, call, or subscribe.

Now that I’m experienced building content marketing plans, I’ve revised my strategy. I’ve leveled up from Content Writer to the broader, more strategic Content Marketer. I’ve incorporated planning, writing, and publishing into my business plan.

So you can expect posts on the following topics in the coming weeks and months. All made easy for “get it done now” entrepreneurs and busy marketing managers.

  • Advanced Marketing Philosophy and Planning
  • Your Website as Sales Hub
  • Getting Valuable Attention with Social Media
  • Creating Fresh, Relevant, and Informative Content With Blog Marketing
  • Building a Tribe of Followers with Email Marketing

I hope you’re excited about incorporating content marketing into your business plan. Remember, when you market on TV and radio, you rent expensive air time. In print, you pay for the ad space.

But online you don’t rent the airwaves or pay for ad space! You own your website and blog. Your social media pages are free. Paying for expensive traditional media channels as your only option is a thing of the past.

It’s not the technology that counts any longer. The secret to website conversions, social media marketing, SEO, and everything you do online is really pretty simple. It’s in what you say and how you communicate with your prospect.

It’s all in the words.

And I can help you. Learn from my posts by subscribing here. And consider working with me one-on-one where we’ll plan and write content that works.

Looking forward to seeing you next time!

Nick
