Did you know you can add your company profile to LinkedIn? It's real simple with excellent intuitive interface that you breeze through in no time. That is, if you already have your content written.
I saved lots of time because all of the visitor-centric content I needed for these Company pages was just the way I wanted it on my website. I took elements from my Home page, About Us page, and Product/Service pages and placed them into the right sections of the profile.
As I point out on my Website Optimization in 6 Easy Steps product page about the advantages of writing optimized content for your complete website, "An added benefit is that the process helps you organize all of your marketing, both online and off." That really helped me out here.
So I first headed to the Overview page from the Companies link in the LinkedIn navigation menu (click on Edit in the top right corner). Right off the bat, you'll see something new...you can add an image to your company profile. I used my Facebook image, the NKB mascot, S. Wordsworth, the Click Magnet. (Cute, huh.) Then add your logo both standard size and square.
Next comes your company description. Here I focus on my customer, starting off with the word, "You" and including a big benefit in the first sentence. Then more of what I offer emphasizing how I can help companies grow with NKB content writing and marketing.
A space below the company description offers an opportunity to list your specialties. Mine are: Web Writing, Content Marketing, Content Development, and Internet Marketing.
Then it's just a couple of clicks to signify your company type, size, industry, website URL, and year founded. And there's a spot to add your groups and additional locations.
If you're looking for employees, you'll find a page for Careers...I skipped this one for now.
But I had the most fun with the Products/Services pages. You can list with short descriptions each of your products or services. But there's an amazing number of options to take advantage of here.
You can select Product or Service, add an image, describe your product, list its key features (not much room here so be sure to get the benefits into the description above), a product disclaimer if you need it, the URL to your website's specific Product sales page, and a company contact by name.
You can even add a Special Promotion and your YouTube video! Check the NKB Marketing listing right here.
The company pages on LinkedIn are an attractive, easy to input feature that I recommend for anyone with a business interested in sharing content online.
Until next time,
Nick
