Just a short post today about a subject I'll be talking more about in the coming months. It's new, innovative, and may be a game changer for business owners and marketers. In a nutshell, it's a 'content first' approach to developing your website.
Click over to the homepage here on my site and you'll see text but very little design. No images, text boxes, logo, or even color outside of the blue links and background. It's just text. (By the way, my site is a DIY Thesis Theme in WordPress.)
Very soon I'll be hiring an expert to add some important elements of design. My visitors will find it easier to click to what they're looking for and it will, I hope, be much more attractive. And I've got a cool logo, which you see in this post. The logo placement will go in the upper left corner of the site.
The thing is, I've written all the content for the homepage BEFORE hiring my designer!
Why is that so important to a visitor-centric website that engages your audience and makes sales?
Stay tuned...
Until next time,
Nick
PS Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!!
